Your Closet Should Match Your Season — Not Your Past

There’s something incredibly freeing about realising that your wardrobe doesn’t need to keep up with a past version of you. Too many women are walking around dressed for a season they’re no longer in — careers they’ve outgrown, bodies that have changed, or mindsets they’ve already evolved past.

Your closet should reflect today, not yesterday.
Here’s my take on how to update your personal style to fit your current season:
1. Audit Your “Old Identity” Pieces
We all have them — clothes we keep because they remind us of who we used to be. The jeans from your early career days… the dress you’ve been “saving”… that blazer that belonged to your ambitious-but-exhausted 20-something self.
Ask yourself:
Does this support who I am now?
Does it fit my current lifestyle?
Do I feel good today when I wear it?
If the answer is no, it’s time to let it go!
2. Dress for the Life You’re Living Today
Your wardrobe should serve your lifestyle — your career, your commitments, your new standards. Whether your season is corporate, creative, entrepreneurial, or mom-on-the-move, build a wardrobe that respects your reality.
3. Fill the Gaps With Intention
Instead of impulsive shopping, make a list of what’s actually missing. Maybe it’s everyday staples, maybe it’s elevated basics or just a few pieces that remind you that you’re allowed to feel beautiful every day, not only on special occasions.
Style Tip: Growth looks good on you — but only if your wardrobe is willing to grow with you.
Happy styling
